EDGARfilings makes mastering EDGAR very convenient. We offer both regional workshops and customized on-site training. Over 100 workshops are held each year in most major U.S. and Canadian cities as well as at our corporate offices in Houston.

EDGARizer Training
EDGARizer training provides the comprehensive instruction required to successfully master EDGAR filings in a short period of time. Our experienced training staff will provide customized instruction on the use of EDGARizer and teach you how to create and set-up your own documents which will facilitate faster and easier future conversions.
- EDGAR BASICS AND OVERVIEW: What is EDGAR? The fundamental topics discussed will include becoming an EDGAR filer, EDGAR form types, deadlines, EDGAR’s hours of operation, the structure of an EDGAR filing, EDGAR filing fees, website posting, and much more.
- THE EDGAR FILING PROCESS: Learn the steps necessary to accurately create and successfully transmit timely submissions directly with the SEC. We will discuss the entire filing process from start to finish.
- PRE-EDGAR DOCUMENT FORMATTING: Learn formatting techniques that create the best results when converting MS Word and Excel documents. Topics discussed will include working with tables, headers and footers, indents, bullets and numbered list, tabs, dot leaders, fonts, style, and more.
- HYPERLINKS, GRAPHICS, COLORS: You will learn how to easily add graphics, hypertext links to efficiently create attractive, versatile documents.
- EDGAR TIPS AND BEST PRACTICES: What are the most common errors and how do you avoid them. We will discuss SEC suggestions that help EDGAR filers avoid problems associated with the EDGAR filing process from preparation to acceptance.
XBRL Training
This half-day workshop is a hands-on introduction to eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). It will provide all participants with the knowledge to determine the best next steps to take with regards to XBRL.
No matter what your current knowledge-base on XBRL, this workshop will provide the tools necessary to understand XBRL and use it. Whether you want a better understanding of the technology and its potential impact or the skills to create your own XBRL instance documents, this is the course for you. From concept to hands-on exercises, we will walk you through the process so that you will be able to talk intelligently about XBRL and have the building blocks to implement XBRL in your organization, if desired.
- XBRL BASICS AND OVERVIEW: What is XBRL? Learn XBRL fundamentals, including XBRL background, terminology and concepts.
- SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - XBRL INITIATIVE: Learn about the SEC Voluntary XBRL Program and how and why you might participate, EDGAR modernization and making the EDGAR system XBRL ready, potential impacts on you and next steps your company should consider for XBRL.
- XBRL HANDS-ON EXERCISES – PUTTING THE CONCEPTS INTO ACTION: The process on how to tag and map financial content in the XBRL format, and create and edit XBRL Instance documents for filing with the SEC.
